Conservation and Sustainability
Invitation to the conservation project in Chilean Patagonia
We have created a conservation project were you can purchase a plot of land in the Chilean Patagonia – Archipelago of Las Guaitecas – Aysén Region, helping to ensure it remains protected in the future and can be passed on to your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Each plot has an area of 1.24 acres. The conservation project includes a reserve of 123.18 acres for the protection of the evergreen native forest, including Guaitecas Cypress, Tepa, Canelo, Mañío, and local flora whose biomass constitutes a carbon reservoir with a great capacity to capture greenhouse gases. National and international studies in the Chilean Patagonia confirm that these forests make a major contribution to mitigate climate change.
This voluntary protection area is accredited through certification of native forest declaration issued by the National Forestry Corporation of Chile.
Who are we?
We are the proprietor of a natural reservation of virgin forests in Southamerican Patagonia.
Our aim is to conserve the century old trees and to contribute to save the planet. You can help us with your sponsorship. Together we can stop the climate change!
Look and marvel at the Patagonian nature
Close to the Melinka Village
The project is located near the town of Melinka, the communal capital, where basic services such as hospitals and supermarkets are available. It lies in a natural, remote, and peaceful setting, covered with native vegetation and a wide variety of pristine flora and fauna. It also offers exceptional conditions for whale watching in the surrounding marine channels.
Iglesia de San Francisco
The Church of San Francisco in Castro, Chiloé, has a history that begins with its founding in 1567, but the current version was built in the early 20th century and completed in 1912, after the original temple was destroyed by a fire in 1902. Designed by the Italian architect Eduardo Provasoli, the church is unique for combining a European Neo-Gothic style with local carpentry techniques, using cypress and larch wood, and it is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
